Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research conducted Online Webinar on National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2020 (Tuesday) at 2.30 PM.
The webinar was organized by the department of Applied Sciences & Humanities on the occasion of National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
Dr. Monica Khanna, Head of Applied Sciences & Humanities Department, welcomed the dignitaries, speakers and participants of the online webinar.
The eminent speakers were Dr. Chander Mohan, Professor, Dr. Ashok Gupta, Professor and Dr. Pardeep Singh, Associate Professor, Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research.
Dr. Chander Mohan started his talk by discussing the immense contribution of Srinivasa Ramanujan in the field of Mathematics and also share views about ‘Fascinating World of Mathematics’.
Then Dr. Ashok Gupta shared his views on ‘Mathematics in Nature’.
And Dr. Pardeep Singh addressed the participants and share his thoughts on ‘Application of Mathematics in real life’.
The Question-Answer Session was conducted between the speakers and participants.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Monica Khanna.
It was very valuable and informative session and more than 100 participants joined from various institutions in the region.
