15th Annual Blood Donation Camp was organized on 30th March 2019. Blood Donation is ranked the best form of service to God. It is a regular feature of the college to commemorate the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji, Sukhdev Ji and Rajguru Ji. The Camp was organized with the help of Rotary and Blood Bank Society, Resource Centre, Sector-37, Chandigarh. The camp was inaugurated by Sh. Ramesh Bansal, Principal, DAV High School, Ambala Cantt, Chief Guest for the day and Mr. Anil Gupta, Member, Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi, Guest of Honor for the event. Among the distinguished guests Sh. Ashwani Goel, BOG Member, Dr. Manish Rai, Director, Rotary and Blood Bank Society, Resource Centre, Sector-37, Chandigarh. and Mrs. Vinod Trehan, Social Worker were also present. Dr. Monica Khanna, HOD Applied Sciences & Humanities apprised the audience about the achievements of the guests which was followed by floral tribute to Martyrs by all dignitaries. In accordance with the event an informative speech on Blood Donation was delivered by Pushpinder Sharma, ME 2nd Year. audience with heartfelt memories of the struggle and sacrifice of our national heroes with her patriotic speech. The whole atmosphere was engulfed with the feelings of patriotism & love for our country by the patriotic song sung by the college choir. All and sundry who were present in the event observed one minute silence in the memory of our martyrs.
Sh Ramesh Bansal in his inaugural address appreciated the initiative taken up by the students and management of the college. He also motivated the students for coming forward in the direction of social, moral, intellectual and economic development of the country. It was a treat to the eyes and food for the soul to see the enlightened and enthusiastic youth of ACE donating blood with beamed faces. The number of volunteers who came forward to donate blood was around 75 and 45 units of blood was collected in the camp. The donors were given fruits, juice and sweets as refreshment. The blood donors were also facilitated with a certificate and token gift to appreciate their good deed. The event came to an end with Vote of Thanks by Gp. Capt. C S Sharma (Retd.), Registrar followed by National Anthem.
